Well, i haven’t ranted in a couple of days so i thought it’d be time again. I’m sitting here waiting for my brother’s graduation open house thingy to start. I left work early yesterday so that i could come home to clean the federal disaster area in my bedroom. Got that done this afternoon. I also was able to finally get my MP3 server up and running!! It’s a P3 450mhz with 384 meg of ram. I previously had windows 95 on it but it was being a pain in the arse to get the wireless card on it to work. I installed Windows XP pro and vallah, it works! . So, within the next few weeks I’m going to attempt to rip all of my cs’s and put it onto the computer’s 16 gig hd. I am likely going to soon have to get a bigger hd for it but that might be held back until after the Segway! :p. Don’t ask me if you can download/ listen to any of the songs because it will only work on my home network, at least for right now.

Also, last night I created a match.com profile to give that a shot. I’m bored all the time with nothing to do so maybe it will work for me. We’ll just wait and see.

I know this was a very boring rant, but maybe my next one will be more cool. Take it easy out there…

Well, after hoping and wishing to get the chance to redesign LHTEC’s website, I think it’s going to be a reality!! I finally got a chance to talk to the program manager and he brought me to the marketing director and then we spoke from there. The marketing guy said that they have actually been looking for somebody to redesign the site. Oh how lucky I am! So, as my major part of ETS gets finished, I hope to be doing some website designing, something that I actually love to do, especially when I get paid for it. I’m pretty excited about this project because I haven’t really gone ‘all out’ on a website before working with marketing, a company, etc. I’ve got lots of things ideas and things I would like to try out with this site including but not limited to php, css, graphic design, and more…

Only 16 days until IRI

So, this past weekend was quite a lot of fun. Saturday we had the annual “Kelly day at Lake Lemon” thanks to my aunt Karen and Uncle Glenn. I think it was the 5th or 6th time they have had everyone down for this fun weekend. Just about the whole Kelly side was there with exception of a couple of family members. We did the volleyball thing as usual and once again, I start out for the suck and getting yelled at and made fun of because I do dumb things. I get good in my second game or so then go for the suck in the last game. I even manged to get popped right in the center of my forehead by the ball. Something always happens when I try to use my head. :p

Last night I went to the O.A.R. and Dave Matthews concert at Verizon. It was rad. We had some great weather and some nice looking ladies. This was my first time to go to Verizon and I had a blast. O.A.R was awesome. I’m glad they had as many people singing to their songs and chearing as they did. They are rad and I hope their tour with Dave will help them to make it to the ‘big time’. I haven’t really been a big Dave fan at all, but they were pretty rad last night. They’ve got some good songs and they had some pretty good rock last night. He did come out wasted and had quite a bit of slurred speech and hard to understand but he seemed to be more sobre as the night went on.

Today Stu, Ben, Intern Rachel and I went to Hooters downtown for lunch. That took about 2 hours out of my day and was pretty fun. Good eatin and some fun gossip.

Anyways, I hope I have more motivation at work tomorrow than I did today. I was not feeling the greatest today and I expect that could be because I have been so tired and exhausted. Hopefully I can get some more sleep now.

NICE GUYS FINISH LAST

It’s amazing that assholes can get girls. Actually, now that I think of it, it’s not that amazing. They are assholes at heart, but to meet girls they lavish their undying love. IT’S A CHARADE. They act nice, friendly, and they listen… until they get into what they’re after. Their prey thinks they are in love with them, however when they realize what assholes their predators really are, they pretend like the asshole is really nice inside. The girl tries to change the asshole into a nice guy, but assholes will always be assholes. She gets upset and goes to the nice guy to complain about the asshole. But she claims to love the asshole… now this is where the theory begins. She doesn’t want to look like she is easy so she wont dump the asshole right away, instead she will stay with the asshole. Girls are idiots. They don’t realize that the nice guy has been there all along. He never had to pretend to be a good guy to get girls because he is naturally like that. However, girls don’t see it for some reason or another. They look at the nice guy as a friend, a trusted companion to whom they can tell their sad story to about their asshole boyfriend. But the nice guy isn’t THAT naïve. He was trying to score with the girl he listens to all along. The problem is that since he is a nice guy he keeps listening. Since girls get attached to things that pay attention to them, they think of the nice guy as a friend. A FRIEND. They don’t say, “Oh he’s hot” or “I want to have his children” about the nice guy, they just want the emotional support. When they get the emotional support from the nice guy, they don’t need it from the asshole. The nice guy gets the shit end of the stick while the asshole gets all the action. I am starting to wonder if being a nice guy is really the route to take to get action… I have been down this path for all of my post-pubescent life and it has gotten me NOWHERE… at least not in the women department. Perhaps another reason why girls fall for the asshole is because assholes ignore the girl they are with. The women wonder, “Why isn’t he paying attention to me?” so they explore why. They poke and prod and get closer to the asshole. They start to get easier with each attempt to get closer. The asshole finally says, “I’ve let this beauty dangle long enough, time to boat this bass”. It is then he puts on his charade and the girl feels like she has won him… even thought all she has won is an asshole. Once you have gone down the path as a nice guy or a “listener” you can’t turn back. The girl will always go after the assholes because there are always nice guys there to listen. Once you realize that you are a “listener” you cant do anything about it… just pack up and close shop. There is no way you will get into her pants… ever. There is and never will be a situation where the nice guy will get the girl he has a crush on. It just doesn’t work like that. The girl wont “come to her senses” and realize what an asshole her boyfriend is like in the movies… instead she will just go after another asshole, and unless you stop being a nice guy, she will never go after you. Women complain that there are no nice guys in the world. Right. They are obviously not looking hard enough because there are nice guys EVERYWHERE!!!! Girls aren’t looking for nice guys… they say they are but they’re not. They are looking for the perfect asshole, but there is NO SUCH THING as the perfect asshole. All in all, the nice guy gets the shaft. To all the girls out there with boyfriends that don’t treat you with respect, that don’t listen to you, and that don’t care about you I say this; look next to you. The guy that has been standing next to you the whole time is the guy you have been looking for. He is what you want your asshole to be like. He knows more about you than you know about yourself… because he has listened to it all.

Well, turned out to be a decent day. I found out that my eyes are not going to explode while I spent the morning at the Q-tip infested eye dr. That guy has major coffee breath, yuck.

I decided to withdrawl from the summer school math class I was going to take. The class scheduled for 4 times a week, from 6:00 - 7:30. I’ve been quite busy at work and I hope to still be there for a long while. I’m also trying to get some website work through work, some FIRST stuff and a few other customers. Ya’ll know how I’m trying to save up for my Segway, well thats my chance

Also, you ever have the problem of people spreading rumors about your or your friends? Yeah, it’s not cool. I’m either just very sensitive or female inside [God I hope I’m not really female]. It really bothers me when I hear garbage go around about myself or my friends or somthing that I care about. I’ve heard lots of rumors that are way off base and have absolutely no truth to them. Please, if you spread rumors about people or something, stop doing it. It only hurts others and what they may care about. You can even lose friends over garbage like that. Sometimes it takes a real incident like that to realize who your real friends are…

Okay now that I’m done acting like a woman, I’ll let this rant rest for the night.

Okay, so I tried to do some minor little edits on the .css and guess what happens? Yes that’s right, it get’s all messed up and I have to revert back to the original style. CSS rocks, but I’m not so good at it yet. Thanks to Brandon for leaving his style directories open so that I could find a site that has some sweet backgrounds. Pretty awesome site, little hard to navigate, but has some really awesome design and style mods. I hope to be able to incorporate some of them into this site, once I figure all of this out.

Guess what concert I’m going to on Sunday?? THATS RIGHT!! I’m going to the O.A.R. / Dave Matthews concert!! Ben invited me so of course I had to accept. O.A.R. rock. I’ll put up some links to some of their songs later on and let you (hope there are some of you out there) listen-to.

Anyways, is going to be a fun day because ETS will finally be launched!!

This is weird. I keep having dreams about me smoking. It usually involves me smoking for my first time. I’ll go to the store, buy some cigarettes or borrow some from a friend that smokes. They seem really cool in the dream and I don’t feel any black lung complications. So the other day when I went to Walgreens to pick up my medicine, I saw the tobbaco isle and stopped. I was looking at their products and seriously comtemplating (sp?) buying some. I ended up not buying any because I didn’t feel like spending money on them at that point.

So, should I buy a pack of cigarettes and try some, or will that just lead me down the road to black lung and cancer??

Hey, this wont be any surprise, but I decided to change the blogger system again. Thanks to Brandon for finding WordPress. WordPress is much like what MT was, but cooler. It’s a real database based blogger rather than the ‘fake’ one that MT had. This has a much better background admin to it too. Easier for me to do, and hopefully it will work much better and look more cool. Anyways, I’m going to get back to configing this some more and hope to rant some more later. later

Sorry I haven’t posted in the last couple of days. I’d say that I have been busy, but that would be a lie. I’ve actually been quite bored lately. Not many people around to hang out with and such… Just me and FOX News and my bed and koko. :-/ Lib and Sarah slept together, AGAIN and went to the ‘relay for life’ in Shelbyville but they had forgotten that I went last year.

IRI is fast approaching! I can’t believe it’s one month away. We still have 50 teams registered with 10 spots still open. We’re hoping that we’re going to get those 60 teams we have planned for.

Anyways, I may have something exciting to rant about in the next few days, or not… so stay tuned while I try to make this site look more cool and talk about a bunch of stupid stuff…
