new look

hey, I’ve got another new look for my rant… :) Didn’t go to work today because I had to take the truck to Hartmans Garage to find out what was broken. It turns out that the water pump is busted and it’s going to cost me over $200!!! That’s all I need now is another bill to pay and for more money to be diverted from the Segway fund. :(

woah, they just said on channel 13 that a F-0 tornado touched down at 37 and Southport road on Sunday night, that is just down the road from my house! They had a picture of it on the tv. It tore up a couple of trees but it wasn’t that bad at all. If I can find the picture, I will post it.

I still haven’t talked to my favorite since sunday when I was ordered to call lib and tell her to pick her up from the airport on friday night. But that isn’t any more shocking than me going to a robotics competition… :-p

time to clock out for the night… adios ;)

im back!

After an extremely long absence, i’m back!!!! Regular season robotics is done, school is done (until summer school starts on 28 June :( ), IRI planning is hot and heavy, and it’s getting busy at work.

Well, I make this comeback on a day that is a week before I was hoping to pay off my truck. I’ve been having a little leak from one of the radiator hoses on my truck and I thought I just had another loose hose clamp today so during lunch at work I went to Advanced Auto to buy some anti-freeze and filled ‘er up. When I got out of work I noticed a big puddle of that tasty green stuff underneath and I said ‘ruh-roh’. Got home, checked it again, then went to Autozone to get a new hose. Replaced it, and the dag-on thing was still leaking! My dad said the water pump has prolly gone bad so looks like I’m going to have to take a day off work, which I was going to spend at the track for carb day :( , and spend money on that instead of going to the Segway fund.

^ boo for that.

Anywho, yesterday we had a special ‘town hall’ presentation at work for our 3 field reps who have been supporting the Army in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. These 3 guys who unselfishly volunteered to not only went to Iraq to support our products, but to also be part of the War on Terrorism, free the Iraqi people, and defend the United States. It was quite a touching presentation and these guys truely are heros in my book.

I had the pleasure of getting some of the pictures that they took while in Iraq and I will post those below.

I hope to keep updating my rant on a regular basis, so if I dont, email me@davidckelly.com and/or textme@davidckelly.com so that I will do it.

thanks, kids :)

oh… also, don’t believe what most of the news stations say about the war in Iraq. Our reps said what the public hears is not even close as to what is actually going on. Some of those pictures show that evidence.

also, dont complain on how crappy the archives and comments windows look because i havent got around to those yet and because im lazy :-p
